Of course He is, but not in the way that most religions teach this. The religious world teaches that God can do whatever He wants whenever He wants. This is the explanation given to Christians to explain the unexplainable. They also teach that God is in control of everything and everyone at all times. Some even teach that God can make people suffer and sometimes make them sick? Others teach that God allows bad things to happen so we can learn something to help us become stronger. (1 Corinthians 14:33)
Good and bad things are going to happen in this life. They do not need any help from God, nor is he the author of them, nor does he just sit by an allow them to happen. (James 1:12-18)
First, If this were true, then I would not for a second trust Him with my life. How can you trust someone with your life when you cannot depend on them? God is ONLY Good and He can be completely trusted. (Proverbs 3:5-10)
Second, we must understand the proper definition of Sovereignty. The word sovereignty simply means Self-Governing. This means that God is not affected by any outside forces. He is faithful and trustworthy. We can depend on Him and we can depend on his nature and character. His nature and character is consistent and GOOD. Yes, God is ONLY Good! All of his Hebrew names are ONLY Good. (Matthew 6:5-13)
Why is this so important? Because in order to Trust Him, you have to be able to Trust someone with a consistent track record. God never wavers, He does not and cannot lie. He does not make people sick. He does not allow bad things to happen. Bad things just simply happen in this life. I am in authority over my own life to make any and all decisions. (Luke 11:13; Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18)
Today I choose Life INSIDE Jesus! SG
Adam did not lose his authority at the fall. He lost his identity. If he had lost his authority then how could he have made any decisions to obey or disobey God. When sin entered this world it came in an contaminated Adam's and our identity. Man was still in charge of the earth to tend it, keep it and have dominion over it. This simply is not possible unless you have the authority to do it. (Genesis 3)
Someone with no authority has no ability to make any decisions for themselves. Thus they are incapable of loving God, themselves or others. Love is always a choice. (Joshua 24:15; Romans 10:5-21)
The simple truth is this? None of us can claim to be victims of anything. We each have the ability to choose our own path in this life. I have decided to choose Life and Life more abundantly in Jesus.
I suggest you give careful consideration in doing the same! SG
God is a HEART God and we are made in His Image and His Likeness. We are Living Speaking HEART Beings just like Him. (Genesis 1:26-28)
What is a HEART Being? A being that is made up of three compartments that all work together in harmony. We are a Spirit, we have a Living Soul and we live in a body that was designed by God with His very own hands.
Here is how I define a HEART Being - 'The combination of my Reborn Spirit and it's harmonious relationship with my Living Soul, all housed in my body the Temple of the Holy Ghost!' SG
In John 7:38 we see that all of God's Life flows in and out through our HEART. This flow affects our personal life, marriage, children, family, physical body, financial life, social life and our relationships. This life flow literally affects everything and expands the borders of our life in this world. (Proverbs 4:23)
Actually the answer is NO. I DO NOT have a personal covenant with God. Jesus has a Covenant with God and I am IN HIM! (Hebrews 7:22, 12:24, 13:20)
'My Whole Life is INSIDE Jesus!' SG
I do not have any life outside of Jesus. 'In Him I live, In Him I move and In Him I have my BEING!' Acts 17:28
This is very simple, but it has tremendous ramifications. Why? Because now I know that I am IN HIM. I am Righteous and Bold as a Lion. I am the Righteousness of God IN Christ. Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in this world. (1 John 4:4)
As Jesus IS, so am I in this world! SG (1 Joh 4:17)
This phrase actually describes a process. It does not describe our new identity IN Christ. I was a sinner, when I accepted Jesus into my HEART, I was then saved by Grace through Faith. Now, I am the Righteousness of God IN Christ! (2 Cor. 5:17-21)
You cannot be both 'sinner saved by grace' and 'the Righteousness of God in Christ'. To be both is to be double minded. When you are double minded the bible says you are unstable in ALL your ways. (James 1:8)
